Family Day Snow Festival

February 21, 2011
Lacombe Lake Park

Fun and frivolity are what met visitors to the St. Albert 150th Anniversary Rendezvous Snow Festival at Lacombe Lake Park. The sounds of children laughing, upbeat music, and entertainment by Les Bûcherons filled the air on Family Day.

On the only warm day in weeks of frigid temperatures, St. Albert joined together to celebrate family, civic pride and our 150th Anniversary. Sleigh rides, games, cabane à sucre, milk jug curling, skating and lots of yummy treats made the day memorable.

Special thanks go to our Snow Festival sponsors Canadian Natural Resources, Starbucks Coffee, Sturgeon Autobody, COBS Bread and Royal Bank.

Thank you also to our partner l’Association canadienne-française de l’Alberta and the St. Albert 150th Anniversary Youth Subcommittee for helping to make the special day a reality.
